The Programs in Film Studies and The Department of Russian (BMC), and Film and Media Studies (SC), and Visual Studies (HC) present the fall 2022 Counter-Narratives Film Series.
Tri-Co's film series features screenings of films from around the globe depicting controversial flashpoints from 21st-century history. Each screening is followed by a discussion about the topics raised by the films, be it about a local conflict, a war, or a series of protests. We invite Tri-Co students and faculty to engage with contemporary international cinema, interrogate topical, existential crises, and learn more about the intersection between arts, politics, war, and constitutional freedoms.
Supported by Mellon Seed Grant, The Program in Film Studies and the Department of Russian.
